The guide book mentioned a river crossing that would be right at the end of our hike. All it said about it was "can be challenging in high water". At this point, with several days of near-constant rain, the water was probably as high as it would ever be! Luckily, by just wading through, it wasn't actually that bad - our boots definitely needed a cleaning after the miles and miles of mud they'd been dragged through!
